Kyrzia Parker is a....
dedicated mother
licensed clinical social worker
small business owner
proud Douglas County Schools alum
AND running for the Douglas County School Board, District B
With two young children going into the district and deep ties to the community, Kyrzia brings firsthand insight into the needs of students, families, and educators.
In her professional role, Kyrzia has supervised school-based social workers and supported them in navigating complex school environments by connecting families to critical resources, addressing barriers to learning, and advocating for student-centered solutions. Guided by this systems-level perspective, she strongly believes that public schools have an obligation to serve every child well.
As a person with a disability and first-hand experience both receiving and helping develop IEPs, she is a passionate advocate for ensuring all students have the access, support, and opportunities they need to thrive in school. On the school board, Kyrzia will focus on listening to mental health professionals and educators, ensuring students with and without disabilities get the services they need, and rebuilding public trust through transparency and collaboration.
Now, as a parent raising her family in Douglas County, Kyrzia sees how political agendas are pulling focus from what matters most. She’s running to keep schools centered on students - their education, well-being, and future success.
Because every child deserves a champion, and Kyrzia is ready to be that voice at the table.
Every Child. Every Voice. Every Day.
